As an Assistant Project Manager at Linesight, you will work with highly experienced, culturally diverse, and talented teams nurturing a strong social dynamic and a shared sense of achievement. You will gain vast industry experience that will open doors for you, extend your skillset and expand your perspective. We will empower, support, and enable you to take real responsibility in your role so that you can take charge of your career progression with us. For us lasting trusted relationships are everything, both with our teams and our clients.

In this role you will:

  • Support the delivery of major construction projects, with a particular focus on large-scale data centre and critical infrastructure developments.
  • Work as part of a dynamic, collaborative project management team, supported by specialist cost and schedule management colleagues
  • Benefit from structured on-the-job training, alongside monthly team workshops designed to accelerate your professional development
  • Actively participate in project meetings, monitoring progress, identifying challenges and working collaboratively with stakeholders to develop practical solutions
  • Implement project procedures and promote consistent adherence to agreed processes, standards and project requirements
  • Work closely with the client, consultant and contractor teams to monitor and continuously improve project delivery processes
  • Maintain a visible presence on site, assessing construction progress, engaging with delivery teams and promoting safe working practices
  • Develop and maintain weekly action plans for critical activities, proactively following up with stakeholders to ensure actions are completed and key milestones achieved
  • Review proposed variations and potential delays, helping assess their impact on the project and supporting the development of appropriate responses
  • Coordinate snagging and close-out activities with the client, consultant and contractor teams, ensuring issues are tracked, prioritised and resolved to support successful project handover
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks, demonstrate initiative and contribute ideas to improve project performance and delivery outcomes.

We would love to hear from you if you:

  • Have a genuine passion for construction and a strong desire to be involved in the practical delivery of projects
  • Are a dynamic, proactive thinker who enjoys solving problems, challenging assumptions constructively and finding better ways to deliver
  • Are looking to accelerate your career in construction delivery and develop the skills to become a confident Project Manager
  • Thrive in a collaborative, supportive team environment and enjoy working with a wide range of project stakeholders
  • Hold a degree, apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where you can take ownership of your priorities, manage deadlines and make a tangible contribution
  • Are an effective communicator, both verbally and in writing, with the confidence to engage with clients, consultants and contractors
  • Are based within a reasonable commuting distance of Hayes / West London, or are willing to commute to the project site
  • Are committed to working on site five days a week, embracing the opportunity to learn first-hand about construction methods, site operations and project delivery
  • Ideally, have 1–2 years' experience working for a general contractor within the construction sector. But it is not essential for the right candidate.

All interviews are conducted either in person or virtually with video required.
