We are looking for a Environmental Advisor at Linesight, for one of our projects in Finland. In this role you will: 

  • Monitor and enforce compliance with all Finnish environmental legislation, regulations, permits, and company environmental procedures across site operations.
  • Obtain, manage, and track all necessary environmental permits, licenses, and approvals from local and regional authorities.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and environmental risk assessments, reporting on performance and identifying non-compliance issues.
  • Develop and deliver toolbox talks and environmental awareness training to project teams and contractors.
  • Collaborate closely with the Construction, Safety, and Project Management teams to advise on environmental risks, constraints, and mitigation measures.
  • Liaise with local municipalities, government bodies, and third-party stakeholders on all environmental matters affecting the site.
  • Maintain accurate records of environmental incidents, complaints, inspections, and permit conditions.
  • Lead investigations into environmental incidents, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented and tracked.
  • Provide monthly environmental performance reports to project leadership and the Environmental Manager.
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of project-specific Environmental Management Plans and site-specific procedures. 

We would love to hear from you if you:  

  • Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years’ experience in a Senior role with a minimmum of 3+ years’ experience in the construction sector.
  • Previous experience as an Environmental Consultant, Environmental Manager, or EHS Advisor/Lead/Specialist in construction.
  • Strong knowledge of Finnish environmental legislation and permitting processes.
  • Experience liaising with local municipalities and environmental authorities.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; Finnish language skills are a strong advantage.
  • Right to work in Finland.
