In this role you will:

  • Provide strategic leadership for all health, safety and environmental activities across large-scale construction projects and programmes
  • Lead and mentor project safety teams, ensuring consistent implementation of Linesight safety standards and client requirements
  • Drive the development, execution and continuous improvement of project-specific HSE plans, procedures and initiatives
  • Partner with project leadership teams, clients and contractors to proactively manage project risks and promote a positive safety culture
  • Oversee contractor safety performance through audits, inspections, leadership safety walks and compliance reviews
  • Review and challenge RAMS, permit-to-work systems, lifting plans and high-risk work activities to ensure effective controls are in place
  • Monitor key safety performance indicators, identifying trends and implementing improvement actions to achieve project objectives
  • Lead investigations into incidents, near misses and significant safety events, ensuring robust root cause analysis and preventative measures are implemented
  • Provide expert guidance on local legislation, industry best practices and client safety requirements
  • Manage stakeholder engagement at all levels, presenting safety performance, risks and mitigation strategies to senior client representatives
  • Support project teams during critical construction activities and complex contractor interface management
  • Champion wellbeing, behavioural safety and continuous learning initiatives across project teams

We would love to hear from you if you:

  • Have 10+ years of construction health and safety experience, including leadership responsibility on large-scale projects
  • Hold a recognised Health & Safety qualification such as NEBOSH Diploma, Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, or equivalent
  • Possess a professional certification such as CMIOSH, CSP, CRSP, WSHO or equivalent
  • Have demonstrable experience leading HSE programmes across data centres, life sciences, pharmaceutical, advanced manufacturing, commercial or infrastructure projects
  • Are highly experienced managing both CSA and MEP construction safety risks in complex project environments
  • Have strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, risk management methodologies and industry best practices
  • Can confidently influence senior stakeholders, clients, contractors and project teams to drive positive safety outcomes
  • Have proven experience leading incident investigations, audits and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Possess excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Are comfortable using Microsoft Office, reporting tools and safety management system

It would be even better if you:

  • Have experience working within a client-side consultancy, project management or programme management environment
  • Have a strong understanding of ISO 45001 and integrated management systems
  • Are passionate about coaching and developing the next generation of safety professionals

 

Please note that this role will start on a contract engagement and will be based onsite.
