This role focuses on the delivery of off-site and enabling infrastructure works supporting large-scale data centre developments. You will lead the coordination and execution of external works packages including utilities, access infrastructure and pre-construction site readiness, ensuring the main build programme can progress safely and on schedule.
• Lead delivery of off-site construction works supporting data centre developments, including utilities, roadways and enabling infrastructure
• Manage external civils packages such as roundabouts, highways tie-ins, drainage networks, duct banks, service corridors and pipework installation
• Coordinate with local authorities, utility providers and statutory bodies for approvals, permits and inspections
• Oversee installation of incoming power, fibre, water and district services from point of connection to site boundary
• Ensure readiness of site infrastructure prior to main contractor mobilisation and building construction
• Manage contractor performance, programme and commercial progress across multiple external workstreams
• Lead planning reviews to align off-site works with main build critical path milestones
• Identify risks to energisation, connectivity and site access and implement mitigation strategies
• Review engineering designs for constructability and sequencing outside the building footprint
• Monitor quality, HSE compliance and commissioning readiness of infrastructure installations
• Coordinate testing and handover of utilities and civils works to the client and main build teams
• Communicate progress, constraints and impacts to stakeholders and senior leadership
• Have strong experience delivering large-scale civils or infrastructure projects
• Have delivered off-site or enabling works for data centres, industrial or major construction programmes
• Understand utilities coordination including HV power, fibre, drainage and water networks
• Are experienced managing highways works, access roads and local authority interfaces
• Have experience working with utility providers and statutory approval processes
• Can manage complex programmes with multiple contractors and interdependencies
• Are comfortable working in live project environments with strict delivery deadlines
• Are an excellent communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
