As a Pharmaceutical Engineering Project Interface Manager, you will be the key liaison ensuring seamless collaboration between internal teams (engineering, quality, validation, procurement, EHS) and external stakeholders (design institutes, contractors, equipment vendors, and regulatory agencies). You will develop and execute the interface management strategy, resolve conflicts, and maintain clear communication channels to enable the successful delivery of complex pharmaceutical projects in compliance with GMP and global standards. In this role your responsibilities are:

 

  • Interface Management & Planning

    • Develop and maintain the Interface Management Plan, including interface matrix, communication protocols, and resolution processes.
    • Identify and track all critical internal and external interface points across the project lifecycle.
    • Maintain the Interface Register and monitor status of all interface matters.
  • Coordination & Communication

    • Facilitate effective collaboration between cross-functional teams and external partners.
    • Break down information silos and ensure timely information flow across engineering, QA/QC, validation, and EHS.
  • Issue Resolution & Risk Management

    • Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to unclear interfaces.
    • Drive resolution of technical, commercial, and schedule conflicts.
    • Manage interface-related changes in line with Change Control processes.
  • Documentation & Compliance

    • Ensure proper documentation of interface agreements, meeting minutes, and key decisions.
    • Monitor timely submission of interface deliverables (datasheets, drawings, etc.).
    • Ensure compliance with GMP, GEP, and internal quality systems; support audits.

We would love to hear from you if you have:

  • 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical construction projects

  • Proficiency in interface management principles and methodologies with practical application experience 
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering (Process, Piping, Mechanical)
  • Familiarity with GMP/GEP, China's "Good Manufacturing Practice for Drugs", and major international pharmaceutical regulatory guidelines, Performance/Process Qualification (PQ), Cleaning Validation, Computerized System Validation(CSV), and Analytical Method Validation, etc

  • Ideally have experience with multinational projects or collaboration with international engineering companies, and ability to understand both technical and commercial aspects, assessing the impact of technical solutions on project cost and schedule
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English (often required for interaction with international suppliers and standards)
  • Detail-oriented, quality-focused, and comfortable managing competing priorities in a dynamic environment

  • Willingness to be based in Tianjin for the duration of the project.
