The opportunity

As a Senior Commissioning Manager on a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) assignment, you will act as the client’s representative, providing independent oversight and assurance of commissioning activities for a hyperscale data centre project. You will lead the commissioning strategy, manage interfaces between stakeholders, and ensure all systems are tested, validated, and handed over to meet client expectations for quality, reliability, and performance.


In this role you will:

  • Develop and implement the commissioning strategy, plans, and procedures for the project.
  • Drive the end-to-end commissioning process, including scope, schedule, and quality assurance.
  • Attend key project meetings, monitor progress, and proactively resolve issues.
  • Conduct site inspections to review QA/QC and commissioning activities.
  • Provide independent oversight of client-appointed commissioning teams and third-party vendors.
  • Facilitate coordination between design, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • Review and approve detailed commissioning scripts and documentation.
  • Track and report progress on commissioning milestones, budgets, and interdependencies.
  • Ensure compliance with client standards, safety protocols, and industry best practices.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, fostering collaboration and trust.
 

We would love to hear from you if you:

  • Have proven experience managing commissioning on large-scale data centre projects.
  • Possess strong technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including UPS, switchgear, generators, cooling systems, and critical infrastructure.
  • Can develop and execute detailed commissioning scripts and schedules.
  • Hold a degree in engineering, construction management, or equivalent experience.
  • Are currently living or looking to move to Farciennes (you must have the legal right to work already)
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy building lasting relationships.
