In this role you will:
Develop, implement, and manage equipment sourcing strategies, from identification of supply chain partners through to receipt of materials on site, including expediting of orders, with a clear focus on the demands and pace of construction-led project delivery
Act as a strategic partner and maintain alignment with business partners, including client technical teams, construction managers and consultancy stakeholders, to ensure ongoing support of the agreed strategies
Lead the decision-making process and make recommendations on awards based on your expert market knowledge, particularly within construction and capital project environments
Own the evaluation of bids to determine the best overall value, reviewing quotations and proposals against specifications and terms and conditions, ensuring they align with construction sequencing and site requirements
Manage various bid requests and contract developments with rigorous attention to detail, partnering with legal and finance teams when needed, and ensuring all documentation reflects construction best practice
Develop statements of work, performance terms and Service Level Agreements for the project, tailored to construction-phase expectations and contractor deliverables
Utilise client-specific procurement systems and processes as required, ensuring compliance with all stage-gate approvals
Review procurement practices on an ongoing basis to ensure compliance with relevant laws, industry standards and construction-specific regulatory frameworks
Use your expert knowledge to identify and drive innovation in the procurement and supply chain process, with a focus on improving efficiency and delivery performance across construction packages
We would love to hear from you if you:
Have grown your procurement experience over the last 10 years with increasing levels of leadership
Have demonstrable experience in construction procurement, ideally within a consultancy environment, or experience in a construction setting within the pharmaceutical/medical device sectors, or from an EPC background in the oil and gas sector
Have a degree in a procurement or supply chain management related discipline
Have a CIPS certification or are on the path to complete it – we can support your progression
Have strong problem-solving skills and a commercial mindset to build balanced solutions and recommendations
Thrive on building positive relationships with your team and clients through a shared purpose and sense of openness and fun
Are an excellent communicator both verbally and in writing
