The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) at 53rd Street in New York has been instrumental in developing and collecting modernist art, and hosts one of the largest and most influential museums of modern art in the world. Its collection offers an overview of modern and contemporary art, including works of architecture and design, drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, prints, illustrated books and artist's books, film, and electronic media. MoMA sought to renovate 50,000sq.ft. of its new gallery space, and ultimately to increase overall gallery space. Linesight’s in-depth local knowledge and expertise led to our appointment on this truly remarkable redevelopment project.
Linesight provided expert independent Cost Management services to MoMA, and worked closely with the architects Diller Scofidio + Renfro, in collaboration with executive architects Gensler, to refine plans for MoMA’s renovation and expansion to maximize capital investment.
