Telin Singapore

Telin Singapore is a subsidiary of PT Telkom Group, providing data centre solutions to connect Singapore and Indonesia to the rest of the world. It sought to create a future-ready, best-in-class, innovative and integrated facility in Singapore to meet the ever-evolving needs of its customers. Given Linesight’s extensive expertise in the data center sector, the team was engaged to provide Cost Management services on the project. 

Our involvement

As Cost Managers on the project, Linesight was involved in the project from inception to completion. With our successful delivery of the earlier phase of Telin-3 Data Center fit-out works, Linesight has once again been appointed to work with Telin Singapore on the subsequent phases of works. Leveraging on the lessons learned from the previous phase of the project, Linesight has recently assisted the client in considering a switch in its delivery method, to encourage better proposals and data center solutions from the contractors in the market. 

Linesight is currently operating as part of the peer review team, as a consultant, working closely with the design consultants to provide oversight of budgets, value engineering exercises and contractual advice. Through our active role in assisting the team to define the employer’s requirements and identifying risks, we are working towards expediting the procurement procedures. This will enable Telin Singapore's senior management to make key decisions in relation awarding the contract for delivery of the facility by the outlined milestone date.

Singapore’s first Tier IV design-certified facility

Branded as Telin-3, the facility underscores Telin Singapore’s commitment to improve the regional digital business ecosystem. The multi-tier, five-story, 20,000sq.m., purpose-built facility is Singapore’s first Uptime Institute Tier IV design-certified data center, requiring it to meet the stringent risk, safety and data security guidelines. It provides flexibility and modularity to customers, enabling them to select from a variety of tier ratings based on their business requirements.

Beside its design certification, Telin-3 has recently achieved Tier III constructed facility certification from the Uptime Institute. This certification indicates that the facility meets the highest standard of mission critical data center service and reliability.
