Willis Towers Watson (WTW) sought to transform its work environments and IT infrastructure at 200 Liberty, in order to accommodate its growth and meet the changing needs of the business. Its ultimate goal is to implement activity-based working (ABF) across their North American portfolio. Given Linesight’s extensive experience in commercial fit-out projects, WTW appointed Linesight to provide both Project and Cost Management.
Traditionally, WTW spaces had a wholly corporate feel, and utilized numerous executive offices and large, enclosed workstations. The transformation to activity-based working means that no employee ‘owns’ or has an assigned workstation, and all private offices were eliminated. The new WTW workspace has predetermined activity areas that facilitate specific tasks, including learning, focusing and socializing. This space truly promotes the wellbeing of all employees, and this is reinforced by the efforts to achieve Well certification, which was led by our Project Management team.
We have now completed floor seven of the project and are working towards the successful completion of the sixth floor. Furthermore, we are working with WTW on its offices in Stamford, Connecticut, where our past project experience in the area is proving invaluable.
The Linesight team really understand our vision, and this has been a key factor in delivering the project so successfully. We are all on the same page, which encourages collaboration and drives the project forward. This is in addition to significant improvements in communication and transparency, and managing variations and expectations seamlessly.
