Learning and Development

Through our learning portal our teams can access over 2,500 online training modules, ranging from work-related skills such as Excel and Project Management to life-skills such as Languages and Exercise. Training events are captured in personal learning records, which can help track continual professional development hours and flag learning needs with our L&D specialists.

It helps us to track certification of core, mandatory training modules such as Confidentiality, Information Security and Anti-Bullying is achieved and monitored. It also shows all completed training hours and certificates for CPD purposes. Our people are encouraged to make full use of the knowledge and learning available via bespoke Playlists and Topics, which are added to and expanded monthly.

Linesight aims to support our people managers to become world-class people leaders. We run a variety of training programs from those for newly-appointed managers through to Senior Leadership level. Diagnostic tools such as Emotional Intelligence (EQi) Assessments, 360-degree Competency Feedback Surveys and the Personality Typing systems are used as a basis for bespoke Personal Development Plans and 1 to 1 coaching sessions. Interactive and experiential workshops are used to develop skills such as team-building, delegation, feedback and managing diversity.

Throughout each year, our employees have the opportunity to attend external training workshops to improve their knowledge and skillsets. Workshops include BIM, Business Report Writing, LCC, Bioprocessing and Health & Safety training. We have also created internal training courses in conjunction with bodies such as the RICS and TUD. Examples of these are our MEP for Data Centres and ARM4 training programs which blend learning videos with practice exercises and case study assignments, overseen by an appropriate Subject Matter Expert.

Linesight is passionate about enabling our people to achieve their full potential. As well as access to online Cornerstone modules, we run regular training days to develop skills such as Communication, Presenting, Resilience Influencing and Time Management either in-house or through external providers.

All of our offices run regular CPD sessions on a range of industry-specific topics which are organized by our cross-functional, global CPD group. These sessions are delivered either by in-house Subject Matter Experts or external professionals and can be joined via MS Teams. Presentations are recorded and the videos and slide decks are made available to all colleagues through Cornerstone. In this way, our people can access a large and constantly expanding reference library of materials online 24/7 anywhere in the world.

Linesight contributes up to 50% of the cost of post-graduate courses including Certificate, Diploma and Masters programs for the benefit of both the individual and our business. Construction Law and MEP are examples of popular course choices.
