Dublin Simon Community has found a way of marking an important milestone for its Chester House project in the absence of having a topping out ceremony, in light of COVID-19. The charity created a special video about the Chester House facility, which provides high support accommodation to homeless individuals with mental health, addiction or personal care needs, who do not have the capacity to live independently.
Linesight is proud to have been working on the project since its inception in 2017, providing Project Safety and Cost Management support, with the team also including RKD, Ethos Engineering, Garland, i3PT, GSP Fire and Downey Planning, who all brought their expertise to bear on a pro bono basis for this very worthy project.
The facility includes individual rooms, as well as communal areas and garden space, allowing staff to best support residents through individualized plans, which incorporate the teaching of life skills to increase their ability to maintain independent or semi-independent living.
Below is a video about Chester House to celebrate this important project milestone, which features Linesight Project Manager, Peter Tierney.
