The new A6 Randalstown to Castledawson dual carriageway project has reached a major milestone. The dual carriageway, scheduled for full completion in 2021, opened its initial stretch of 7km between Randalstown and Toome on Sunday, 4th August. This is the first of two phases in construction of the 14.7km North Western Transport Corridor between Randalstown and Castledawson, being delivered using the NEC Target form of contract.
Linesight is proud to be providing Cost Management and Procurement services to the Department for Infrastructure on such a strategically important, flagship project for the region.
The enhanced route, when fully completed, will be a vital piece of infrastructure for the North West, improving safety and reducing the travel times of close to 20,000 vehicles using the route between Belfast and Derry each day.
