Linesight celebrates major milestone with topping out of JPMorgan Chase Global Headquarters, New York City

New York, November 21, 2023 — JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPMC) announced the topping-out of their new headquarters at 270 Park Ave. Since the project inception in 2018, Linesight partnered with JPMorgan Chase, providing full cost management services for this landmark 60-story skyscraper, which will be the largest all-electric skyscraper in New York City, with net zero operational emissions powered by 100% renewable energy. 

Standing at 1,388 feet, the Tower was designed by Foster + Partners and will serve as the global headquarters for an estimated 14,000 JPMorgan Chase employees. The structural frame was completed in approximately 1,200 days and marks a significant milestone for this complex construction project, which is expected to create over 8,000 jobs during construction.  

Linesight has worked with JPMorgan Chase and the project team for the last five years providing cost-saving solutions through full cost management support including budget management, estimating, procurement strategy support, change management, budget analysis and executive reporting.

Seeing the building take shape over the last few years has been incredible, a testament to the whole project team but particularly the 300-plus Local 40 ironworkers who installed approximately 93,000 tons of structural steel, getting the job done every day, no matter the difficulty or conditions." 

The project is the first under New York City’s innovative Midtown East Rezoning plan, which encourages modern office construction and improvements to the business district’s public realm and transportation. Read more about the project here .
