Linesight has today featured in Singapore's Business Times, following the Government announcement of the launch of the Growth and Transformation Scheme (GTS),
starting with the built environment sector.
Speaking about the launch, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat said that the GTS for the sector will "require developers to work closely with their consultants, contractors and suppliers to level up as an ecosystem or value chain."
Singapore is undergoing a period of industry transformation, which spans the entire value chain, and industry stakeholders are working together to integrate and digitalize processes, and upskill industry talent.
John Butler, regional director of Asia-Pacific at Linesight, noted that he expects the transformation to support the introduction of technology into the industry,
"Specifically the digitalization and automation of construction techniques to include the use of technology on sites, the pre-fabrication and modularization of construction methodologies''.
