Linesight partners with Castleforge to deliver major office development in London city

Linesight announced today that it recently partnered with Castleforge Partners (formerly known as Mercer Real Estate Partners) to deliver 160 Aldersgate, 266,000 sq.ft. of high-quality office accommodation in one of London’s most iconic business districts. The refurbishment, designed by Fletcher Priest Architects , delivered an uplift on the existing area through the addition of an extra story (circa 8% uplift on GIA); achieved BREEAM 2014 – Excellent rated office space; replaced the existing Aldersgate façade to give the building new identity; dramatically reconfigured the building’s atrium; reconfigured floor space to optimize use of the basement and ground floor areas and freed up roof space for terraces. The completed building is currently undergoing a tenant fit-out.

Linesight provided full cost consultancy services to Castleforge Partners on the refurbishment of this building in Aldersgate and continues to support them on additional projects in the UK. Castleforge Partners has invested over £500 million of asset value throughout the UK. Linesight, in turn, has been working in the UK for over 10 years, and to date has delivered consultancy services on over 2 million sq.ft. of Commercial sector assets.

“Linesight provided us with highly accurate budgeting and forecasting on 160 Aldersgate which helped us enormously throughout this project. Their strategic advice and proactive role in overseeing the entire project, coupled with their accuracy, timeliness and personal engagement made our collaboration on this prestigious build seamless.”

Martin Claisse, Development Director, Castleforge Partners.

“This was another exciting and interesting project working with Castleforge Partners and the outcome is world class office space for the City market in London. At Linesight we strive to build lasting relationships with our clients, provide Director engagement on all of our projects and focus the team on designing to the client’s budget, not budgeting to a design. As we grow our market share in the UK we will continue to provide early strategic counsel to our clients, challenge their thinking in a proactive way and ultimately assist them in efficiently delivering high quality assets to the UK’s built environment.”

Michael Riordan, Managing Director, Linesight UK

Linesight will launch its annual Knowledge Center Report on March 22nd 2018, which provides insights on the construction industry in the UK.
