The opportunity

At Linesight, you’ll be part of a collaborative, diverse, and experienced team working on high-profile construction projects across Europe and beyond.

As a Construction Lead Supervisor (Ground Works), you will oversee all aspects of ground works on a major commercial construction site in Belgium. This includes excavation, foundations, drainage, and underground services. You will ensure that all ground works are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and timelines.


What you will do:

  • Ground Works Oversight: Supervise excavation, foundation laying, drainage systems, and underground utilities installation.
  • Site Coordination: Manage subcontractors and ground works teams, ensuring alignment with project schedules and safety standards.
  • Quality Control: Monitor ground works quality, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and local regulations.
  • Health & Safety: Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular site inspections to mitigate risks.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track daily progress, resolve issues proactively, and report updates to the project manager.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Communicate effectively with engineers, consultants, and client representatives.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of ground works activities, inspections, and materials usage.
  • Environmental Compliance: Ensure ground works adhere to environmental standards and sustainability goals.

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience supervising ground works on large commercial construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of geotechnical engineering, excavation, and underground services.
  • Familiarity with Belgian construction regulations and environmental standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in English; French or Dutch is a plus.
  • Relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Safety certifications (e.g., VCA, OSHA) preferred.
