The opportunity

As a Materials Forecasting Manager at Linesight, you will lead materials forecasting and supply planning activities, ensuring critical materials are available to support project delivery. Working closely with project teams, procurement and client stakeholders, you will proactively identify supply risks, develop mitigation strategies and provide data-driven insights that enable successful project outcomes.


In this role you will:

  • Develop and maintain accurate material demand forecasts across large-scale construction programmes.
  • Analyse project schedules, design information and construction plans to identify future material requirements.
  • Identify long lead-time materials, supply constraints and emerging market risks.
  • Partner with suppliers, procurement teams, project stakeholders and clients to validate forecasting assumptions.
  • Monitor global supply chain trends and assess potential impacts on project delivery.
  • Develop mitigation strategies to address material shortages, delivery delays and market volatility.
  • Produce regular reporting on forecast accuracy, material availability and supply chain risks.
  • Support strategic decision-making through data-driven forecasting, scenario planning and risk analysis.

What you'll bring:

  • The ability to influence decision-making across multiple functions and levels.
  • Experience working within complex construction, infrastructure, manufacturing or engineering environments.
  • Confidence presenting forecasts, risks and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • Have proven experience in materials planning, forecasting, supply chain management or construction logistics.
  • Demonstrate advanced forecasting, planning and analytical capabilities.
  • Possess a strong understanding of supply chain risk management and mitigation strategies.
  • Have experience managing long lead-time materials within large-scale construction, engineering or infrastructure projects.
  • Are commercially astute with experience engaging and influencing suppliers.
  • Build strong relationships and collaborate effectively across technical, operational and commercial teams.
  • Can interpret complex data and translate insights into practical business decisions.
  • Thrive in fast-paced, dynamic project environments where priorities and risks continually evolve.
