In managing the delivery of project quality, this position aligns team objectives, business processes, vendor management strategies, and cross-group collaboration efforts with the Data Centre Development Project Strategy. In doing so this will result in effective client relationship management and efficiency in quality assurance and control.


In this role you will:​

 

  • Develop, manage, and implement project-specific QA/QC program requirements in line with linesight and client standards.
  • Facilitate meetings and activities with vendors, contractors, sub-contractors and client teams.
  • Collaborate with teams, contractors, and clients to ensure quality control procedures are followed effectively.
  • Create QC inspection scripts and conduct onsite inspections related to mechanical, electrical, telecoms, controls (BMS & PMS) and plumbing to ensure compliance with contract documents.
  • Provide training on project requirements and oversee document management.
  • Report quality metrics such as key performance indicators to senior management and support corporate quality goals.
  • Review, understand and communicate Design Documents - including drawings and specifications
  • Review and improve quality documentation processes for efficiency.
  • Manage timely project closeout and turnover of QA/QC documents.
  • Conduct routine inspections and audits to ensure facility compliance.
  • Identify, register and monitor deviations from standards proactively throughout construction phases which includes reception, set in place, installation and construction completion of mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment and address with responsible parties.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for management and regulatory purposes.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Work independently and as part of a team in support of the Data Center Commissioning Program
  • Work with internal Construction and Engineering teams to identify issues, understand impacts and provide recommendations for field quality tasks
  • Review Contractor pay applications for completeness and identify quality related issues that may affect progress payments

We would love to hear from you if you: 

  • Have a thorough understanding of UPS systems, switchgear, generators, and critical mechanical systems
  • Are English and Spanish speaking
  • Experience in developing detailed inspection scripts
  • Preferred experience on Data Center projects or Technology related projects
  • Preferably have an Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering degree or comparable experience in a construction QA/QC
  • 5+ years of Construction QA/QC management/inspections
