In this role you will: 

  • Procurement Management
    • Develop and manage the procurement strategy for OFCI equipment and long-lead materials.
    • Coordinate with client procurement teams to ensure timely issuance of POs, contracts, and documentation.
    • Evaluate vendor capabilities and lead vendor engagement, RFI/RFP processes, and selection.
    • Liaise with engineering and design teams to verify technical specifications.
  • Expediting & Logistics
    • Track all OFCI deliveries and long-lead equipment against the construction schedule.
    • Maintain a detailed expediting log and delivery tracker.
    • Work with logistics providers to ensure efficient and compliant shipping, customs clearance, and on-site receipt.
    • Proactively resolve any delivery delays or logistical issues.
  • OFCI Management
    • Manage all OFCI equipment scopes from procurement through to site delivery and handover to the contractor.
    • Coordinate closely with the construction manager and GC to align delivery with installation schedules.
    • Ensure compliance with site storage, handling, and installation procedures.
    • Support FAT/SAT processes as needed.
  • Stakeholder Communication
    • Report regularly to the client and internal teams on procurement status, risks, and mitigation plans.
    • Maintain clear and timely communication with vendors and contractors.
    • Support interface meetings and procurement workshops.
  • Risk and Change Management
    • Identify procurement-related risks and manage mitigation strategies.
    • Monitor changes in scope that impact OFCI procurement or delivery timelines.

We would love to hear from you if you: 

  • Have extensive experience in a procurement expediting, or project management experience in a construction or engineering environment.
  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Supply Chain, or a related degree would be preferred.
  • Have prior experience managing OFCI equipment or long-lead procurement in the data centre, life sciences, or industrial sectors.
  • Have familiarity with supply chain, logistics, and international freight management.
  • Have a proven track record of working with global suppliers and managing vendor performance.
  • Have strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Have the ability to work in a fast-paced, schedule-driven project environment.
  • Have experience with procurement software, tracking tools, and reporting platforms (e.g., MS Excel, SharePoint, Power BI, etc.).
