Project Controls Specialist

In this role you will:
- Be responsible for working closely with the project controls / project management / cost management teams to design, develop and maintain reports and dashboards, in Tableau and Power Bi
- Make data more accessible, understandable, and usable using data visualization tools
- Identify complex areas and processes within the business and produce visualizations that drive meaningful insights and provide actionable intelligence to our clients
- Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and both communicate and track progress of these tasks to internal and external stakeholders on a regular cadence
- Collect and interpret data, analysing results & creating automated reports for internal teams and/or external clients
- Work alongside teams within the business or the management team to establish business needs
- Define new data collection and analysis processes
- Generate business requirement documentation for any initiatives requiring Cross-Functional Team involvement.
- Bring best practices to the Linesight team, in Data Management and Visualization of the same
- Support initiatives for data integrity and normalization.
- Generate reports from single or multiple systems.
- Train end users on new reports and dashboards.
- Provide technical expertise on data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing.
- Evaluate our current data management processes and identify opportunities for ongoing improvements
- Update key partners with weekly, fortnightly, monthly, etc executive and project status reports, project schedule updates, and project risks
We would love to hear from you if you:
- Enjoy understanding trends and seeking anomalies in data
- Have a BSc or equivalent experience. MSc preferred
- Have experience dealing with Big Data
- Have experience with data visualization software (Tableau, Power BI, Google Data Studio as well as other programs such as SQL, C programming, Data Studio, etc.) as well as advanced Excel skills
- Have relevant certifications from Microsoft / Google on data management and coding
- Have strong database manipulation and mining skills
- Are an excellent communicator verbally and in writing
