We are seeking an experienced and highly analytical Senior Researcher with a background in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Urban Planning or a related discipline. This is an opportunity to play a leading role in shaping construction market intelligence across global markets. You will work on complex research programmes, engage with senior stakeholders and contribute to strategic decision-making across some of the world's most dynamic construction sectors. The role offers significant scope for professional growth, thought leadership and collaboration within a highly experienced international team.

 

This role will lead the development of construction market research and insights across key sectors such as data centres, life sciences, high-tech industrial and commercial. The successful candidate will manage research projects from inception to completion, analyse complex datasets, identify market trends, develop evidence-based viewpoints and provide strategic insights that support business and client decision-making.

 

The role requires strong analytical capability, commercial awareness, critical thinking and communication skills. Beyond data collection and analysis, the successful candidate will be expected to interpret findings, challenge assumptions, identify implications and communicate clear conclusions through high-quality client-facing deliverables.

 


In this role, you will:

  • Lead end-to-end construction market research projects, from research design and data collection through to analysis, interpretation and reporting
  • Collect, analyse and interpret market data relating to labour, materials, project costs, procurement, supply chains and construction activity
  • Produce market intelligence reports, insight papers and thought leadership content that help clients and internal teams understand market conditions, risks and opportunities
  • Develop market assessments, benchmarking studies and sector analyses across data centres, life sciences, high-tech industrial and commercial
  • Create clear visualisations, dashboards and presentations using Excel, Power BI and other analytical tools
  • Present research findings, implications and recommendations to clients, senior stakeholders and leadership teams
  • Collaborate with regional and global teams to support client engagements, business development activities and strategic initiatives
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of research methodologies, analytical frameworks and reporting standards

We would love to hear from you if you:

  • Have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Urban Planning or a related discipline
  • Have minimum of five years' experience in construction research, market intelligence, development advisory or a similar analytical role within the construction industry
  • Have strong understanding of construction market dynamics, cost drivers, procurement practices and project delivery models
  • Have proven experience analysing complex datasets and translating findings into clear conclusions and commercial recommendations
  • Demonstrate the ability to apply critical thinking, challenge assumptions and develop evidence-based viewpoints
  • Have experience in delivering research projects from inception to completion, including research design, data collection, analysis and reporting
  • Have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, modelling, pivot tables and data visualisation
  • Have experience using Power BI or similar business intelligence and analytics platforms
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop high-quality reports, presentations and client-facing deliverables
  • Have strong report-writing and storytelling capabilities, with the ability to communicate findings, implications and recommendations clearly
  • Have strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills
  • Have the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Have the experience in engaging with senior stakeholders and presenting findings to diverse audiences
  • Are highly organised, detail-oriented and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively

Preferred skills

  • Experience developing cost benchmarking models or forecasting models
  • Experience working across international construction markets and global research programmes
  • Experience within data centres, life sciences, high-tech industrial or commercial projects
  • Familiarity with data automation, dashboard development and advanced analytical tools
  • Experience producing market reports, thought leadership content or client-facing research publications
  • Previous experience within a consulting or advisory services environment
