The new ‘North Quarter’ in Ballymun is a mixed-use development consisting of retail, services, purpose-built student accommodation, licensed discount food store, retail, café units and commercial offices, as well as a series of positive public spaces.
The student accommodation was designed to the highest standard to encourage student engagement and promote student well-being, with a mix of bright and airy shared spaces. The accommodation includes 364 bed spaces within a mix of 61 student houses and studios spread over two buildings, between four and ten storeys high. Features include rooftop and ground level amenity spaces, internal communal areas, social and games rooms, ancillary to the student accommodation, as well as secure bicycle parking on the ground floor.
The accommodation links to retail and café units on the ground floor, and in close proximity to the food store, enabling students to have access to a wide range of amenities within the same complex. The retail unit will extend to GIA of 2,563sq.m, while the commercial office space will be 1,372sq.m with 127 car parking spaces, 388 secure bicycle parking spots, and both hard and soft landscaping.
