Linesight has been engaged on a life science project located at Broadmeadows in Victoria.

The project involved the refurbishment of an existing pharmaceutical facility engaged in the manufacturing of plasma products to accommodate new process equipment across two existing building levels including an IgGAC room and Pooling & Buffer vessel suite.

The project balances the need to modernise critical infrastructure while maintaining alignment with highly specialised process requirements.

The refurbishment comprised approximately 1,400+ m² of renovation works, presenting the challenge of integrating new facility upgrades into an existing environment. The process scope was particularly complex, requiring close coordination to manage multiple interfaces, connections, and interactions between process systems and the building fabric.

Linesight provided robust Cost Management and Scheduling services to support informed decision-making at an early stage of the project.

By integrating cost and schedule intelligence at an early stage, Linesight supported the wider project team establish a clear, realistic foundation for subsequent project phases. Our collaborative approach supported transparency, facilitated stakeholder confidence, and enabled informed strategic decisions, positioning the refurbishment for successful delivery.

Linesight’s role

Linesight provided cost management and scheduling services for the civil, structural and architectural (CSA) works, including demolition to accommodate new equipment, new foundations and structural steelwork to support the equipment, and internal fit-out with fixtures and fittings.

Our services also covered the mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) works, including air conditioning and ventilation systems for the new equipment rooms, modifications to existing fire services to serve the refurbished areas, and hydraulic services to the new areas.

Linesight value add

Linesight provided Cost Management services across all three projects, which involved:

  • Collaboration across multiple stakeholders to inform strategic decisions
  • Early integration of cost and scheduling to set clear foundations for project success.
  • Coordination between multiple different interfaces, processes and existing building conditions.
