Linesight provided cost management and commercial advisory services for a major hyperscale data center expansion and upgrade program in Cyberjaya, Malaysia.

The project involved the refurbishment and enhancement of operational data hall facilities, along with the phased fit-out of additional data center capacity within an existing multi-story facility. The program was delivered while maintaining alignment with international data center performance and reliability standards.

Key elements of the project included:

  • Upgrades and reconfiguration of critical electrical infrastructure to enhance resilience and operational reliability.
  • Integration of new standby power systems and associated distribution networks.
  • Implementation and enhancement of building management, security, and information technology systems.
  • Support for testing, commissioning, and operational readiness activities.
  • Fit-out of new data halls and associated technical spaces within previously undeveloped areas of the facility.
  • Installation of new mechanical cooling infrastructure, including chilled-water and environmental control systems.
  • Construction of supporting plant rooms, operational spaces, and ancillary facilities.
  • Delivery of fire protection, life safety, and monitoring systems throughout the expanded facility.

The program required careful coordination across multiple phases of work, balancing ongoing operational requirements with the delivery of new critical infrastructure and future capacity expansion.
